Can't wait to commentate on India vs Pakistan World Cup encounter: Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan set to turn commentator for the India v Pakistan World Cup encounter

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has said he is extremely excited about the opportunity to commentate for Star Sports during the India vs. Pakistan World Cup encounter that will take place at the Adelaide Oval on February 15. The 72-year-old actor added that he has been taking suggestions from other commentators and practising hard to get all the field positions right.

"I am excited about the live commentary and I will be joined by Harsha Bhogle and Kapil Dev. I am taking tips from them and getting all the 'mid-off and mid-on' right,” he told reporters in New Delhi.

“Will keep my comments pro-India”

Bachchan further added that he would keep his comments in favour of the Men in Blue in the commentary box.

"The entire Indian team is Amar, Akbar, Anthony for me. Will be pro-India when commentating on the game," he said.

The veteran actor’s commentary stint is part of an interesting collaboration between the producers of his upcoming film, ‘Shamitabh’, and host broadcasters Star Sports.

He had earlier said that India, as a nation, runs on two emotions - cricket and cinema - and added that he was excited on both fronts.

“This country's emotions are ruled by two things — cricket and cinema. For me, it's an exciting time on both fronts. My movie is releasing on February 6 and then, I have the privilege of making my commentary debut,” Bachchan had said.
