After being almost a year away from the game, the Sri Lankan legendary fast bowler is back and ripped through the Bangla batting lineup. He struck in the first over, sending back the opener Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan.
He showed glimpses of his old self and registered terrific figures of 4/23 in his allotted 10 overs. Malinga bowled with intensity and troubled the opposition with the new ball, made a return to the international cricket in the way only he can dream of.
Despite Malinga's heroics with the ball, the dismal performance of Sri Lankan batsmen meant that his sensational performance ended in a loss.
