India has been blessed with a quiver full of fast bowlers recently, making it one of the most envious attacks in the world. Another pacer set to join the ranks is the 20-year-old left-armer Khaleel Ahmed, who has been named in the 16-member squad for the 2018 Asia Cup.

Here is all you need to know about the newest entrant to India's ODI setup:

# Khaleel was born in Tonk, a small town in Rajasthan 100 kilometres away from Jaipur.

# He is the son of a compounder, who initially was unhappy with his son choosing a career in cricket, but was persuaded by his coach, Imtiyaz Ali Khan, to allow Khaleel to play.

# Khaleel once revealed that tennis-ball cricket helped him develop as a fast bowler, and he used to bowl on cement pitches, with the light tennis ball helping in his arm-rotation.

# He was named in the India squad for the 2016 U-19 World Cup, playing under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan. He picked up three wickets from six games in the tournament.

# Having played under the coaching of Rahul Dravid in the U-19 setup, Khaleel's association with the Indian legend was extended when he was acquired by the Delhi Daredevils for Rs. 10 lakh in the 2016 auctions.

# He made his debut for Rajasthan in T20s in February 2017, and his first-class debut in October the same year. His List A debut came in February this year.

# In January this year, he was bought for a whopping Rs. 3 crore on the first day of the 2018 IPL auctions, purchased by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

# Khaleel has openly admitted that Zaheer Khan has been a big influence on him, especially during his stint at the Delhi Daredevils, helping him sort technical issues and

# He was hitting top speeds in the Mushtaq Ali Trophy earlier this year, clocking as high as 148 kmph in one of the games.

# Khaleel was the fourth-highest wicket-taker across all teams in the recently concluded Quadrangular series in Bengaluru, picking up seven wickets from four games.
