India

Lokesh Rahul - 8/10

Playing his first match of the Asia Cup 2018, Rahul batted steadily to earn himself a half-century.

Ambati Rayudu - 8/10

Rayudu, opening the inning for India, was splendid, and the speed at which he batted trimmed down Afghanistan’s hopes.

Dinesh Karthik - 5/1

Karthik was well on course to take India’s to a victory when he was wrongly adjudged lbw.

MS Dhoni - 5/10

MSD captaining in his 200th ODI was fluent with his bowling changes. He was lightning behind the stumps and fell victim to a bad decision from umpire while batting.

Manish Pandey - 2/10

Pandey failed to take the advantage of the batting in the middle order and was dismissed cheaply.

Kedar Jadhav - 5/10

The part-time off-spinner came in handy with the ball as he dismissed Mohammad Shahzad. Jadhav was unfortunately run out at the non-striker’s end.

Ravindra Jadeja - 9/10

Jadeja once again displayed his worth as a bowler as he picked up three wickets while giving away only 46 runs. He was the last man out for India yesterday to complete a thrilling tie.

Deepak Chahar - 4/10

The debutant did not have a thriving time with the ball. Chahar was out of his comfort zone and struggled to cope up with the lack of swing. He did score some crucial runs when India needed the most.

Khaleel Ahmed - 7/10

The youngster was effective and maintained pressure with his left-arm seam bowling. Khaleel gave away only six runs in the over number 48 and 50.

Kuldeep Yadav - 8/10

The wrist spinner at one stage had the bowling figures of 6-0-8-2. He then conceded 30 runs in his next four overs.

Siddarth Kaul - 3/10

The pace bowler was disappointing in the rare opportunity that he received. Kaul ended up conceding 58 runs from his nine overs.
