Shoaib Malik has been by far the best Pakistan batsman in the Asia Cup. He has scored 181 runs in the four matches that he has played at a staggering average of 90.50. In the match against India, it was he who along with Sarfaraz Ahmed stabilized the innings. He came out to bat at a time when Pakistan was struggling after losing their top 3 cheaply.
Shoaib Malik scored a brilliant 78 off 90 balls and helped Pakistan reach a respectable total of 237. Had he not performed that well, Pakistan would have definitely struggled to even get to 200. His innings was studded with 4 fours and 2 sixes. With this performance, he showed his experience of almost 300 matches.
