After playing fine knocks at Sydney and Adelaide, the Indian vice-captain was dismissed for nine runs by Peter Siddle. However, Rohit Sharma had a good day in the field as he took a brilliant one-handed catch to dismiss Marcus Stoinis off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal.

Shikhar Dhawan - 4/10

The Indian opener had a poor ODI series with the bat and his struggle continued even in the final match as Dhawan was dismissed by Marcus Stoinis after a painful innings of 23 runs from 46 balls.

Virat Kohli- 6/10

The Indian skipper looked in fine touch with the bat and scored a handy 46 runs off 62 balls before being dismissed by Jhye Richardson in the 30th over.

MS Dhoni- 9/10

The ageing veteran made his third consecutive half-century of the series with a brilliant 87-run knock. For his superb batting performances in the whole series, Dhoni was awarded the Player of The Series trophy.

Kedar Jadhav- 8.5/10

Back in the side for Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav came into bat at a crucial situation and scored a fine half-century. He put on an unbeaten 121 runs partnership for the 4th wicket with MS Dhoni and played a crucial role in the series win.

Dinesh Karthik- NA

Karthik was a mere spectator on the field and did not get a chance to bat as Dhoni and Jadhav finished off the chase for India.

Vijay Shankar- 6/10

On his debut, Vijay Shankar had a good match with the ball as he bowled an economical spell of 6-0-23-0 and even took a catch of Adam Zampa while fielding at long-on.

Ravindra Jadeja- 4/10

Ravindra Jadeja did not have a good day with the ball as he conceded 53 runs from his 9 overs. Also, he did not get a chance to bat.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 8/10

The crafty Indian pacer continued his good form and dismissed the Australian openers in quick succession to leave Australia struggling at 27/2. He ended up with a fine bowling spell of 8-1-28-2.

Mohammed Shami- 7/10

Shami was once again economical with the ball and delivered a good spell of 9.4-0-47-2. Shami was good throughout the series and played a key role in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.

Yuzvendra Chahal- 10/10

The leggie was the best bowler on the night and was awarded the Man of the Match award for his brilliant spell of 10-0-42-6. On a slow MCG pitch, Chahal made life difficult for the Australian batsmen.
