#3 Travis Head (C) (Batsman)

Head was released from the national team to play the BBL final

The 24-year-old left-hander has earned a reputation as one of the most devastating batsmen in the country. Travis Head has been a constant figure in the Australian limited-overs squad in recent times.

He is the overall leading run-scorer for Adelaide Strikers in the BBL. Firing late in BBL 07, the skipper led his team to their maiden title beating the Hobart Hurricanes at their home ground, the Adelaide Oval in the final.

#4 Shane Watson (Batsman)

Watson started BBL 07 strongly

The former Australian cricketer Shane Watson is one of the most talented all-rounders in the world. He has played franchise cricket all over the planet since his retirement, including the IPL, CPL, PSL and indeed the BBL.

Sydney Thunder had a forgettable outing this season in contrast to their captain. The 36-year-old scored the most runs for his side this season.

#5 Glenn Maxwell (Batsman)

Maxwell idolizes South Africa's AB de Villiers

An unorthodox but influential batsman, Glenn Maxwell plays for Melbourne Stars in the BBL. With unique tricks up his sleeve, the swash-buckler never fails to entertain fans with his creative hitting all around the park.

Following his BBL show, the 29-year-old was roped in to the Australian ODI squad as a cover for Aaron Finch, who was ruled out due to a hamstring injury. He is currently a part of the squad for the ongoing T20 tri-series between Australia, New Zealand & England.
