#4 Wickets in heaps
Brad Hodge and Ben Dunk were taking the game by the scruff of the neck and threatened to tee off. Against the run of play, Dunk bit the dust, holding out to covers. But it was the twelfth over of the game from Sean Abbott that turned the game on its head.
Aided by two screamers on the outfield, first by Johan Botha at deep mid-wicket and then by William Somerville at fine-leg, Abbott snapped the wickets of Brad Hodge and Travis Head. Out of the blue, things turned on its head for the Strikers.
The insult to injury was perpetrated by Somerville, now with the ball, foxing Jake Lehmann to play a false shot and disturbing the timber. From 2/91, the Strikers slumped to 5/102 in a space of 17 balls. Abbott, eventually, stormed his way to the best figures by a Sydney Sixers bowler surpassing Nathan Lyon.
