Middle Order

Cameron White (Melbourne Renegades)

Veteran Australian all-rounder Cameron White earned a place in the Australian squad after his successful run in the Big Bash League. White scored 304 runs in 8 innings at an average of 76. He played the anchor role for the Renegades and also captained the side in the absence of regular skipper Aaron Finch.

White will be the perfect number three batsman for this side with two aggressive batsmen lined up at the top.

Travis Head (Adelaide Strikers)

Tournament-winning skipper Travis Head will lead the team. Head was in good form in this year's edition of the league. He played 9 matches amassing 374 runs at an average of 53.42.

The skipper played an important role in his side's success in the tournament, making instinctive decisions as a captain which benefited his side. A handy off-spinner as well, he bowled magnificently in the semi-final against the Renegades.

Glenn Maxwell (Melbourne Stars)

The Melbourne Stars had a horrendous season but all-rounder Glenn Maxwell makes it to the team of the tournament. Maxwell was in stellar form in domestic cricket before the tournament commenced, and he brought that form into the competition, scoring 299 runs at an average of nearly 38.

Maxwell's strike rate of 154.12 is the biggest positive. His all-round abilities make him special and he is an obvious choice in this XI.

Tom Cooper (Melbourne Renegades)

Australian all-rounder Tom Cooper helped the Renegades to the semi-finals of the tournament. Cooper scored 298 runs in the tournament at an average of 49.66. He had an impressive strike rate of 141.23 as well.

He handled the responsibility of finishing the innings for his team. The 31-year-old also chipped in with a few useful overs whenever needed. Cooper will play the finisher's role in our XI.
