Video: Virat Kohli displays his singing talent

Virat Kohli is a man of multiple talents

We are all well-versed with Virat Kohli’s amazing abilities on the cricket field, especially when wielding the bat. However, a completely different talent of the young icon was on show at a function in Dhaka yesterday as the Indian team took some time off from the game.

The function marked Team India’s visit to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka. Kohli let out his singing skills as he joined one of the performers, Fahmida Nabi, on stage to deliver a rendition of an old Bollywood classic song.

It was quite evident that the popular Indian cricketer was enjoying himself as he sung the iconic Mohammad Rafi-Lata Mangeshkar number, 'Jo Waada Kiya' from the movie Taj Mahal. Kohli managed to draw quite a lot of appreciation from those in attendance as he quickly settled into his ‘singing shoes’.

However, this is certainly not the first time Kohli has flaunted his penchant for singing. During an interview to a news channel, he had sung a couple of Punjabi songs obliging to a special request by the anchor and done a very decent job at it.

Virat was not the only Indian cricketer on the night to display his vocal talent, fellow batsman Suresh Raina and batting coach Sanjay Bangar also brought out the singer in them and entertained everyone. Overall, it turned out to be a good break for the Indians from their busy cricketing schedule.

Kohli took to Instagram early in the morning today to post a video of his singing, which was shot by Yuvraj Singh yesterday.
