David Warner mocks Varun Aaron, results in massive altercation between players

In the past, matches between India and Australia have been played with great intensity with both sides at each other’s throats every now and then. The ongoing Test series began on a somber note with no notable quarrels between the two sides on the first three days.

Then, came day 4.

Indian captain decided to not give Varun Aaron the new ball and even introduced a part-timer like Murali Vijay into the attack before the Jharkhand pacer. This was probably to keep Australia’s run-rate at a minimum, with Aaron having a history of conceding runs at a quick rate.

Finally, after 31 overs were bowled, Kohli decided to bring on his fastest bowler. At this stage, the hosts were going smoothly at 116/1 with David Warner and Shane Watson well set in the middle. Aaron bowled a very good opening over and almost had Watson trapped leg-before-wicket.

Aaron returned to bowl in the 34th over and bowled Warner with a very good delivery. The 25-year-old was animated and screamed in joy.

The Indian fast bowler would like to forget what happened next. The third umpire was called upon to check if it was a no-ball. Unfortunately for the Indian team, Aaron had overstepped by a huge margin and Warner was called back to the crease.

On his way back, Warner mocked Aaron with a repeated chorus of “C’mon”. The left-handed batsman screamed the same words at Aaron’s face after the next delivery. Watson and Shikhar Dhawan then got into an altercation and seemed to be having a go at each other. India’s stand-in captain Kohli had to come in and calm things down.

In Aaron’s next over, he tried to be target Watson with a couple of bouncers, but didn’t have a lot of success with both deliveries going for boundaries without Watson even getting his willow on either ball.
