In the wake of the gruesome terror attack on CRPF personnel at Pulwama, the Cricket Club of India (CCI) has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to pull the Men in Blue out of the group stage match against Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup.

"We condemn the terror activities carried out against our army and CRPF personnel. Though CCI is a sporting association but nation comes first even before sports", CCI Secretary Suresh Bafna told ANI.

India and Pakistan are slated to play the group stage match at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground on June 16.
