With exciting young all-rounder Sarah Glenn no longer part of the squad, the England bowling attack picks itself for the most part.

Veteran fast bowlers Katherine Brunt and Anya Shrubsole are bound to be part of the playing XI, and both have fond memories of going up against India. The final pacer's spot could go to Kate Cross, whose consistency is suited to the Test format.

England could also avail the services of Emily Arlott, who has received her maiden call-up to the national side. But Cross' good Test record and experience should put her in the driver's seat.

With conditions expected to be overcast in Bristol, England Women could consider going in with four pacers. But with most of the batters capable of rolling their arm over, it might be wise for them to pick two specialist spinners.

Sophie Ecclestone is a certainty, with the accurate left-arm spinner having established herself as one of the best in the world. The other spot could go to off-spinner Mady Villiers, who has never played an ODI or a Test for England. Villiers would be a bold selection, but England might need her in case the conditions assist spin.
