Sachin Tendulkar has been named the ICC player of the year 2010 at the LG ICC awards in Bangalore.It is the first time the Little Master has won the Sir Garfield Sobers trophy.

Virender Sehwag was named the Test Cricketer of the year. M S Dhoni and Ricky Ponting were named captains of the ICC Test and ODI teams respectively.
“It’s better late than never. I am getting the award in the 21st year of my career, so it’s fantastic. I have been working hard for this award,” Tendulkar said after receiving the honour.
