Indian bowling is doing a great job at the moment, in fact, for the first time in the history of Indian Test cricket, there seems to be a problem of plenty in the bowling department. India have five front-line seamers who all deserve a place in the squad on the basis of their skill and performance over the last few years. Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav, all are deserving candidates for the final Indian XI.

For the first Test of Australian tour which will take place at Adelaide during the next week, the Indian team faces a selection conundrum as far as their bowling department is concerned. India is expected to play with four bowlers during the first Test and it will be a pleasant headache for the Indian team to select their bowling line up for the first Test.

Let's take a look at the predicted bowling line-up for the first Test.

#1 Ishant Sharma

Given his current form and the experience of Australian conditions, Ishant Sharma seems to be the first choice pacer for the Indian bowling set-up. Ishant seems to be a rejuvenated bowler of late. He bowled exceptionally well in England and he has a history of bowling well in Australia. In all likelihood, Ishant will spearhead the Indian attack during the first Test in Adelaide.

#2 Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah has been used by the Indian team management as a surprise element and this approach worked really well for them in South Africa and England. Bumrah's ability to take the ball away from the batsman while bowling from the wide of the crease with an angle which appears to bring the ball in has got him many scalps in South Africa and England.

Bumrah is expected to take the field during the Adelaide Test and he might well end up being the trump card for India during the Australian series.

#3 Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, who was sidelined during the English series due to an injury, is expected to come back to the playing eleven straightaway. He is expected to get the nod ahead of Shami purely on the basis of his pronounced swing, consistency as a bowler and his handy lower order batting.

Bhuvaneshwar has the ability to make the new ball talk and he can bring the ball in as well as take it away from the batsman, which makes him a dangerous proposition for the opposition.

#4 Ravichandran Ashwin

Lately, Ashwin has emerged as a slightly better bowler in alien conditions. Having said that, he needs to put in good bowling performances more frequently during overseas conditions. He is expected to start in the playing eleven as far as the first Test match is concerned, but, the same cannot be said about the following Tests.

Adelaide is one of those wickets in Australia which helps spinners and if Ashwin fails to put up a decent bowling performance during the first Test then Kuldeep Yadav or Jadeja might end up replacing him for the following Tests.
