Sanjay Manjrekar is now a well known name in the cricketing circuit and works as a cricket commentator for many channels. He scored 3 runs off 14 balls in the 1st innings. In the 2nd innings, he scored an unbeaten hundred and was not out on 113 off 243 balls. He played out the match with an innings of great character. Sanjay Manjrekar retired from all forms of cricket in 1998 and finished off with 2043 runs in 37 Test matches averaging 37.14. In ODIs, he scored 1994 runs in 74 matches averaging 33.23 and has picked up a solitary wicket in ODIs.
Post retirement, he became a commentator and is a feature in all major tournaments and tours from India's side. He was one of the first commentators to get on board for the Indian Premier League which started in 2008 and remains to be a regular there.
