Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest cricketers in the game's long history
#6 Ravi Shastri
Ravi Shastri has been a good coach for the Indian team despite criticism over a few of his decisions
Ravi Shastri was a key part of the Indian side during Sachin's debut. He scored 45 runs in the 1st innings after going wicketless and was unbeaten on 22 of 71 balls in his 2nd innings. Ravi Shastri retired in 1994 after a knee injury ended his career prematurely. He finished off with brilliant career stats of 3830 runs in 80 Tests and 3108 runs in 128 ODI innings. He was equally prolific with the ball and picked up 151 wickets in Tests and 129 in ODIs.
Post retirement, he became a TV commentator and in 2008, he left ESPN-Star Sports for the IPL telecasted by Sony Max. In 2017, he was appointed the Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team, a position which he's still holding. Despite criticism, India under Ravi Shastri have been good.
