India beat New Zealand by seven wickets at Mount Maunganui on Monday to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the ODI series. Indians were clinical throughout the series and never allowed the hosts to settle. Openers provided good starts, middle-order scored valuable runs, pacers were good with the new ball, and the spinners were ruthless.

Also, the return of Hardik Pandya has strengthened the teams in various ways. Virat Kohli has played his last game of the tour and rested for the remaining games. Rohit Sharma will lead the side and changes are expected for the fourth ODI. Indian team management might not want to risk Dhoni unless he is 100 percent. Shubman Gill has a great chance to make his international debut and one of Khaleel or Siraj might get a look in.

On that note, let's take a look at India's Predicted XI for the fourth ODI against New Zealand at Hamilton.

Openers: Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma

Shikhar Dhawan has shown some great form in the series with two good fifties already. The 33-year-old has scored 169 runs in the series at an average of 84.50 and a strike rate of 85. Dhawan became the second fastest Indian batsmen to 5000 ODI runs when he scored an unbeaten 75 against New Zealand in the first game of the series.

Rohit Sharma will lead the side in Virat Kohli's absence. He also had a good series so far with two fifties to his name. He has scored 160 runs in the series at an average of 53.33. Rohit Sharma became the joint highest six-hitter for India (215), alongside Dhoni, when he struck a couple of huge blows in the third ODI at Mount Maunganui.

Middle-order: Shubman Gill, Ambati Rayudu, and Dinesh Karthik

Shubman Gill has a great chance to make his debut if MS Dhoni fails to recover in time for the fourth ODI. Gill has had a remarkable 2018 and made giants strides as a batsman. The 19-year-old played a huge role in India's Under-19 World Cup success last year and has scored heavily in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season.

After being dropped for the third ODI against Australia, Ambati Rayudu has played a couple of important innings in the series against New Zealand. He has scored 100 runs in the series and was dismissed only once. India will continue to play Rayudu at No.4 to get him ready for the World Cup.

Dinesh Karthik was dropped for the first two games of the series but came back into the side for the third ODI. He played a crucial knock (38*) and is expected to retain his place for the next game. Karthik has impressed a lot with his limited opportunities and continued to perform whenever he was called upon.

All-rounders: Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya

Kedar Jadhav is back with a bang. After his injury troubles in 2018, which ruled him out of the 2018 IPL and most of the limited-overs game for India, the 33-year-old played a match-winning innings in the series decider against Australia earlier this month and also played a good cameo in the second ODI against New Zealand. He can be more than useful with the ball in the middle overs, which allows the captain to rotate his bowlers easily.

Back in the team after the huge media controversy, Hardik Pandya delivered a solid performance for India in the third ODI at Mount Maunganui. He took a stunning catch to dismiss Kane Williamson at mid-wicket and bowled a solid spell to dismiss Henry Nicholls and Mitchell Santner. The 25-year-old provides a lot more balance to the team and it allows the captain to play his best possible best XI.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, and Yuzvendra Chahal

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is getting better with every game after a rusty start in the ODI series against Australia. He picked up four wickets in three games and went for less than five runs an over. More often than not, Bhuvneshwar strikes with the new ball and gives a good start to India.

Kuldeep Yadav has been India's key bowler in limited-overs cricket for the past 12 months. He has picked up wickets on a consistent basis and was unplayable on occasions in the middle overs. With eight wickets at 4.39 runs an over in just three games, Kuldeep Yadav is easily the best bowler in the series.

Mohammed Shami has been a revelation for India during the tour of Australia and he is not showing any signs of slowing down. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Shami complemented well with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and picked up seven wickets in the series so far.

After being overlooked for the first two ODIs in Australia, Yuzvendra Chahal produced a match-winning spell in the third game to seal the series. He is also amongst the wickets in the ongoing series against New Zealand and has six to his name already. Chahal adds variety to India's bowling attack and he is a genuine wicket-taker.
