India's team for England ODI series announced
The Indian team for the ODI series against England has been announced. The 16-man side which will be led by Virat Kohli marks the inclusion of 27-year-old uncapped medium-pacer Siddarth Kaul. Ajinkya Rahane, meanwhile, finds no mention in the team.
The side also includes 32-year-old Ambati Rayudu, who last played an ODI for the Indian team in 2016. He made his international debut in 2013, and has, till date, played 34 ODIs, averaging more than 50 with 1055 runs. He has been in great touch for the Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing IPL, and is their leading run-getter currently.
Kaul, on the other hand, made his first-class debut way back in 2007, but has not got a chance to play for the Indian team yet. He has been in good nick in the IPL over the last two seasons with the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The three-match ODI series begins with the first game at Nottingham on July 12, and will end with the game at Leeds on July 17. The second game is in London on July 14.
