India will be aiming to continue their dominant T20I series record

India have had quite a run in the last year in all the formats of the game. In the ongoing 2018/19 season, they have won both Test and ODI series in Australia before winning the ODI series in New Zealand.

The T20I series between India and New Zealand is level at 1-1. The final match will be played at Seddon Park in Hamilton on February 10.

When looking at the numbers over the last 12 months, the Indian team is currently at the second position in the list of the most T20I wins. If they win the final match of the T20I series against New Zealand, then they will join Pakistan at the top of the list.

Thus far, India have played 21 T20Is in the last 12 months (February 9th in 2018 to February 9th in 2019). They have won 15 matches and lost 5 matches while one match was a no result.

On the other hand, Pakistan have played 19 T20Is during this time period. Of these, they have won 16 and lost 3. Apart from the two Asian giants, no other team could even reach the double-digit mark in terms of wins in this time period.

Excluding the ongoing New Zealand series, India have played 19 matches in the 6 T20I series against South Africa, Ireland, England, West Indies and Australia during the last 12 months. The Indian team are unbeaten in all those series. While the series against the Aussies was a 1-1 draw, they won the other series by comprehensive margins.

India won in South Africa 2-1, clinched the Nidahas Trophy, won in Ireland 2-0, won in England 2-1 and won 3-0 against West Indies at home.

The third and final T20I against New Zealand at Hamilton presents an opportunity for India to remain unbeaten series-wise and join Pakistan's tally of wins in the last 12 months.
