India’s squad for their two-match T20I series against West Indies in the USA has been announced. The 14-man squad will be lead by MS Dhoni and after a second string side was sent to Zimbabwe, the squad to play the reigning T20 World Champions is almost similar to the side that took to the field in the ICC World T20 earlier in the year.
Impressive performance in the Zimbabwe series has meant KL Rahul has made it to the side. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin have all made it to the T20I squad to face West Indies.
While most of the side are in the West Indies taking part in the ongoing Test series, MS Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah, who aren’t part of the Test squad will fly to the USA to take part in the two match T20I series, which starts on August 27 and ends the following day.

Despite an impressive performance in the series against Zimbabwe, Yuzvendra Chahal will take no part in the T20I series as he will be with the A team taking part in the tri-series against Australia.
India are coming off the back of a four-match Test series against West Indies, which they won 2-0. After the final Test at Trinidad ended in a draw thanks to rain, the team have flown to Florida to take part in the T20I series immediately afterwards.
Both matches will take place at the Central Broward Regional Park at Lauderhill, Florida. The stadium hosted the final round of matches in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016.
