On the back of a century from Ajinkya Rahane, India declared with a lead in excess of 300 but the rain gods ensured that they didn’t get a crack on West Indies for a second time in this Test on day three of the second Test at Jamaica.

Having begun the day five wickets down, Rahane and Saha got India past 400 before the wicketkeeper fell, three shy of his fifty. But that didn’t stop Rahane from getting to his first Test century in West Indies.

Once India got to 500/9, Kohli declared but there was to be no further play after that as the entire third session was lost to rain.
