Krish Srikkanth and his slection committee members will be pulling out their pencils again to pick Team India for the forthcoming home series against New Zealand between November and December. The Kiwis are scheduled to play three Test matches and five ODIs.
The selection commitee members are scheduled to meet at the BCCI office in M A Chidambaram stadium in Chennai at 1500 hrs this afternoon. It is being aired that Srikkanth, who is to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the private Vel’s university on city outskirts after the meeting, and his ‘team’ of selectors would be picking the team just for the first Test match and only two slots if VVS Laxman and Gautam Gambhir are not fit yet, have to be filled. But it could as well be that the selectors could pick a 14 member squad for all three tests, making changes in the playng XI before each Test match.
