4 Indian players who can earn a call-up to Asia Cup squad
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce the Indian squad for Asia Cup 2018 on September 1. Here are some of the players who can earn a call-up to the Indian squad after showing magnificent performances during the recent times in List A cricket.
Also, the team has a few issues like middle order batting and sixth bowling option, for which the team will need to address them and make changes to their squad from the last time.
#1 Manish Pandey
One of the most promising names of a player who can make it to the side is of Manish Pandey as he amassed 306 runs in four innings in the recently concluded 'A' Quadrangular series.
He also has a massive average of 97.75 in the last 10 List A games that he played. Pandey seems to be the player who can solve the problem of the batsman at number four.
#2 Mayank Agarwal
Another player who has great chances of making it to the side is of Mayank Agarwal as he continued his good run from first-class cricket to List A cricket as well. Agarwal scored 236 runs in the recent series which included a fifty and a hundred.
He also has seven tons and five fifties against his name in List A cricket since the start of 2017-18 season. Apart from Pandey, he is another candidate to fill in the shoes of number four batsman.
