The venue of the Indian Premier League that is to be held on May 30 has been shifted to Brabourne stadium. The Qualifier was to be held at Wankhede previously but due to management issues, the shift had to be made.
“CCI will host the May 30 game,” Ranjib Biswal, the head of IPL Governing Council, said to PTI on Wednesday.
Although Biswal rejects the presence of any issue, Cricket Board Secretary Sanjay Patel admits that the issues will be resolved soon.
“There are some issues relating to venue management and accreditations too with the Wankhede Stadium but Mumbai Cricket Association (owners of venue) vice president Ravi Savant is looking into these and would get back to us in a day or two. These issues were discussed in the IPL Governing Council meeting (held on May 3) too,” BCCI secretary Patel said.
Patel also revealed that an agreement was yet to be signed between the board and CCI for holding the May 30 qualifier.
“We will be signing the agreement with CCI,” he ended.
