The flamboyant batsman has been impressive in domestic cricket in recent times. Karun Nair has been in and out of the Indian Test side but his recent heroics in the Syed Mushtaq Ali should be enough to ensure him a spot in one of the franchises in the Indian Premier League.

Nair was the skipper of Karnataka in the tournament and scored 379 runs in 9 innings at an average of 42.11. Nair has improved his ability to hit the ball, striking at 173.85 in the tournament. Karun will be a player to watch out for in the auction.

Bengal wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami has been wonderful with the bat this season. Goswami scored 373 runs at an average of 53.28 with a splendid strike rate of 151.62.

The franchises may look to invest in the 28-year-old as he can keep and also open the innings.

#2 Deepak Chahar (Rajasthan)

The most impressive bowler in the tournament, Deepak Chahar provided Rajasthan with the breakthroughs at the most crucial of times. Chahar picked up 19 wickets in 9 games of the tournament including a five-wicket haul against Karnataka.

Chahar is a wicket-taker but bowled extremely economically in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, boasting an economy of 5.58 in the tournament so far. The lanky pacer will feature in today's final against Delhi and hope to lead his side to glory.
