#2 Shakib al Hasan fined for showing dissent

Bangladeshi skipper Shakib al Hasan was fined 15 percent of his entire match fees for showing dissent at the umpire during the first T20I between Bangladesh and Windies which took place earlier this week.

“He first shouted at the umpire and then got involved in a prolonged discussion,” said an ICC statement issued late Tuesday.

This is the second time Shakib has been docked a merit point, since the introduction of the new system.

The Windies won the first T20I with ease and will look to seal the series on December 20. They lost the ODI and Test series.
