M. S. Dhoni: A friend in need is a friend indeed

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lend a helping hand to his close friend Santosh Lal, who has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. Lal was airlifted to New Delhi for treatment.

A close friend of Dhoni said “Former Ranji cricketer Santosh Lal was taken to Delhi by air ambulance and admitted to a hospital there. Besides Dhoni, all his friends have come forward in helping him fight his disease. Dhoni is in touch and helping in making all necessary arrangements for the treatment.”

Lal is a Ranji player who has been accredited by the Indian captain as the inventor of Dhoni’s famous ‘helicopter shot’. Jharkhand State Cricket Associate has donated 1 lakh rupees, while Rs. 39,500 was collected from associated members for Lal’s treatment.
