India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been ruled out of the West Indies tri-series today after pulling his hamstring while batting against West Indies on Sunday.
Virat Kohli has been asked to deputise in Dhoni’s absence for the remainder of the tri-series that is being held in the Caribbean.
Baroda cricketer, Ambati Rayudu, who originally hails from Hyderabad, has been chosen to replace the Indian captain in the squad.
A source familiar to the matter told NDTV: “Dhoni is not feeling good. He is going to be examined. He has a hamstring issue.”
