MS Dhoni made the record books tumble once again as he bettered the wicket-keeping record of Mark Boucher, registering his name on the third position in terms of the most dismissals in ODIs.

Dhoni, who earlier shared the third slot with Boucher with 424 dismissals, entered into the game requiring just one dismissal to better the record. Dhoni etched his name in the record books with the first dismissal of the Windies' innings, as he held onto the edge of Kieran Powell off Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

MSD, who already holds the world record for the most number of stumpings (115), now has 310 catches to his name, which takes him to the third spot with 425 dismissals.

Another day, another record. This has been the course of action for Indian skipper Virat Kohli for quite some time now. He once again made the headlines by recording the most runs by an Indian batsman against the Windies in an ODI series, bettering the record of 336 runs by Ajinkya Rahane in 2017.

Virat had surpassed the record in the first three games itself, with three magnificent hundreds on the trot, and further extended it in the last two games. Virat Kohli scored 453 runs in the series, with 3 hundreds and at a whopping average of 151. He rightfully claimed the Man of the Series record for his exploits with the willow.

This series was special on many counts, as skipper Virat Kohli also made a record along with batsman Virat Kohli. Kohli became the first Indian captain to register 5 consecutive series wins at home, surpassing the earlier record of 4 series held by former skipper MS Dhoni.

India have played five ODI series at home post the passing over of the captaincy reins to Virat Kohli. India have won all of them, with Kohli featuring in 4 of them. While 4 out of the 5 series wins include the ones against England, Australia, New Zealand and Windies in 2017 and 2018, the earliest of the wins dates back to 2014, when Virat assumed the leadership duties for a five match series against Sri Lanka, with Dhoni opting for rest.

Overall, this was the sixth consecutive ODI series win at home for India, with the record holding from a 3-2 win against the Kiwis in 2016 under MS Dhoni.
