Mohammed Shami accused of extramarital affairs, physical and mental torture
What's the story?
Hasin Jahan, the wife of Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, has accused him of having multiple extramarital affairs, and also of inflicting mental and physical torture on her. According to reports, she shared a series of pictures and screenshots which allegedly prove Shami's extramarital affairs. She also claimed to have found contraceptives in his car.
“Whatever I have posted is just the tip of the iceberg. Shami’s acts are far more heinous. He has relationships with multiple women,” said Jahan, speaking to ABP News.
“If I’m not wrong, he was gifted that phone by Delhi Daredevils in 2014. Though, he kept on denying it,” said Jahan.
In case you didn't know...
Shami and his wife got married in June 2014 and the couple has a daughter as well.
He is currently playing for the India A side in the Deodhar Trophy, which is a domestic tournament being played in India. He was not included in India's squad for the Nidahas Trophy.
Shami's wife claimed to have informed a police station in Jadavpur about the affairs and abuse but is yet to lodge an official complaint.
“Everyone in their family used to torture me. His mother and brother used to abuse me. The tortures continued till 2-3 am in the morning. They even wanted to kill me,” claimed Jahan.
“Shami abused me and started beating me even after returning from South Africa. He has been doing this for quite some time now and now I have had enough.”
More than a day after the allegations were made, Shami responded via a tweet, denying all the allegations against him and claiming that it is all false.
If the allegations against Shami are true, there could be huge ramifications for him and he could land in big trouble. He could even face possible jail time due to the allegations of physical abuse inflicted on his wife.
However, with Shami having denied the allegations as of now, one cannot say what is true and what is not, and can only wait and watch as to what happens in the near future.
