India is currently playing the white ball cricket against Australia but a strong statement came from the Indian key Test opener Murali Vijay that he is currently hurt not to be a part of the Indian Cricket Team's squad and feels unlucky not to be playing for the country. He believes that he will be able to soon make a comeback to the national side whenever the team plays the red ball cricket.

Vijay last played at the Western Australian Cricket Ground, Perth where he bagged a duck in the first inning while scored a struggling 20 in the following inning of that match. In the previous game at Adelaide, he could only manage to score 11 and 18 in the two innings that he batted for. He expected to play the next match which was to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground but was dropped as Hanuma Vihari was brought into the side.

Vijay stated while speaking to The Hindu, “I feel hurt that I am not a part of the Indian team and a bit disappointed as well. Apart from them, I am really hurt. I expected to play the Melbourne Test in Australia. In fact, I was pretty sure that I would play that Test as I had batted well in the second innings of the second Test at Perth. I felt I was just an inning away from getting the form back.”

Vijay seems to be confident of making a comeback in time as he believes that he did well at the time of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir and that too in the overseas conditions like that of England. He also believes that he is just 34 years old and is quite optimistic of having much Test cricket left in himself.

The Indian Team will now play the longer format after the World Cup 2019 which is expected to be scheduled with the Windies which means that he is an ample amount of time to make his way in that squad.
