CSA T20 Challenge 2024 Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Boland vs North West (Updated) ft. Rubin Hermann and Rassie van der Dussen

The 53rd, 54th, 55th, and 56th matches of the CSA T20 Challenge 2024 took place on Sunday. Titans locked horns with Lions in the 53rd match of the tournament at Pietermaritzburg. Batting first, the Titans could only manage 132 runs in 20 overs. The Lions chased down the target in 17.3 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Nqabayomzi Peter was the pick of the bowlers for the Lions, claiming three wickets for 15 runs in four overs. Rassie van der Dussen (51) and Zubayr Hamza (49) played match-winning knocks with the bat.

The 54th match of the tournament saw Western Province take on Titans. Batting first, Western Province managed 113 runs in the first innings. In response, the Titans chased down the score in just 13.2 overs with six wickets in hand. Lhuan-dre Pretorius starred with the bat, scoring 52 runs in just 32 deliveries.

The 55th match was played between the Warriors and Dolphins. Daryn Dupavillon’s five-wicket haul helped the team restrict the Warriors to 130 runs in the first innings. The Dolphins chased down the total in 17.2 overs with seven wickets in hand. JJ Smut played a match-winning knock of 43 runs in 45 deliveries.

The 56th match of the CSA T20 Challenge 2024 was played between Boland and North West Dragons. Riding on Clyde Fortuin’s 51-run knock in 32 balls, Boland managed 143 runs in the first innings. However, it didn’t prove enough as North West Dragons chased it down on the penultimate ball of the match. The likes of Meeka-eel Prince (37), Rubin Hermann (48), and Raynard van Tonder (34) made match-winning contributions with the bat.

Rubin Hermann is sitting at the top of the run charts with 436 runs to his name. Mathew Breetzke is in the second spot with 422 runs, followed by Rivaldo Moonswamy in third with 400 runs. Ryan Rickelton (385), Reeza Hendricks (354), and Sibonelo Makhanya (342) are in fourth, fifth, and sixth positions, respectively.

At number seven is Kyle Verreynne with 335 runs, while Raynard van Tonder is at eighth with 330 runs under his belt. The ninth and tenth spots are occupied by Jordan Hermann and Bryce Parsons with 329 and 284 runs, respectively.
