English music legend Mick Jagger is in attendance at Lord's on the third day of the 2025 World Test Championship (WTC) final between South Africa and Australia. Sir Michael Philip Jagger, or Mick Jagger, is a legendary English musician and among the founder members of the English rock band 'The Rolling Stones.'

Jagger was spotted in the stands of the iconic Lord's cricket ground on the third day of the ongoing 2025 WTC final.

South Africa had finished at the top of the 2023-2025 WTC standings while Australia finished second. Australia are the defending champions, having beaten India in the previous final in 2023, while this is the first final appearance for South Africa.

South Africa appear on course for maiden WTC title

South Africa had won the toss on the opening day of the 2025 WTC final and asked Australia to bat first. The Proteas bowlers responded to their captain's call, bowling Australia out for 212 runs. Pacer Kagiso Rabada led the charge with a fifer while Marco Jansen bagged three wickets.

However, Australia fought back, led by skipper Pat Cummins, who returned with figures of 6/28 as South Africa were skittled out for just 138 in the second innings. In the third innings, the Proteas looked in control once again, having reduced Australia to 73/7 at one point. Gritty knocks from Alex Carey (43) and Mitchell Starc (58*), took Australia's total to 207, bringing them back into the contest as they set South Africa a target of 282 to win the game.

Despite having lost a couple of wickets, the Proteas appear to be on course and in control of the chase at the moment. At the time of writing, they are at 119/2 from 31 overs, needing 163 more runs to win with eight wickets in hand. Skipper Temba Bavuma (30*) and Aiden Markram (55*) are at the crease and look well set in the middle.
