"I think he's become a better cricketer after Angad's come around" - Sanjana Ganesan's stunning claim on Jasprit Bumrah ahead of ENG vs IND 2025 Tests

Sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan, the wife of star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, made a stunning claim on him ahead of the Test series against England. India are set to play England in a five-match away Test series, beginning June 20.

Sanjana Ganesan appeared on a podcast on 'Moment of Silence' Youtube channel, where she stated that she feels Jasprit Bumrah has become a better cricketer after the arrival of their son Angad.

"When we held him (their baby) in the hospital, my husband was playing the Asia Cup when we were having the baby and then he just flew back. I dont want to stay it but I think he's (Bumrah) become a better cricketer after Angad's come around. When you have that atmosphere that you can come back home to and be at peace you can just switch off and be a dad and a husband, its helpful," she said (40:56).

Jasprit Bumrah will have a vital role to play with the ball in England as a senior player in the team. India, under their new captain Shubman Gill, are set to embark on a new era in Test cricket with big names like Ravichandran Ashwin, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli not there anymore.

Sanjana Ganesan shares her impression on wives of cricketers

In the same podcast, Sanjana Ganesan was also asked about what other wives of other cricketers. She revealed that they are all different and are tailored to the requirements of the cricketers.

"They are all different. Even these athletes and players are all in the team they all have different pesonalities. Like you can see it on a field of cricket. So their wives are tailored to their requirements almost. I'll be interviewing a player on the field and then later in the balcony I'll met his wife and I'll be like you know what I get it. It's like yin and yang in almost every situation. You just realise that this is what this guy was missing and this is why she is his wife," she said.

Sanjana Ganesan and Jasprit Bumrah tied the knot in March 2021. Bumrah, who returned from injury, was seen playing in the recently concluded IPL 2025 season for the Mumbai Indians (MI).
