West Indies have climbed to the eighth spot in the WTC standings after a victory in the first Test. However, they will drop down to the ninth position once again if they lose the second Test in Kingston. Assuming Bangladesh win that Test, West Indies' points percentage will drop to 24.24%, and Bangladesh's points percentage will increase to 31.25%.

In case Bangladesh lose the second Test, their points percentage will come down to 22.92%. Meanwhile, a win for West Indies will result in their points percentage going up to 33.33%, the same as the seventh-placed Pakistan team.
