Pondicherry Premier League 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Ossudu Accord Warriors vs Karaikal Kniights (Updated) ft. Bhanu Anand & Sagar Udeshi

The Pondicherry Premier League 2024 season staged another double-header on Thursday, August 8. The Cricket Association Pondicherry Siechem Ground hosted the clash.

Villianur Mohit Kings were bowled out for just 117 in 20 overs in the first match of the day against the Mahe Megalo Strikers, with Sreeraj (3/18) and Karthik B Nair (3/30) being the pick of the bowlers. Left-arm spinner Sagar Udeshi also chipped in with two wickets for 14 runs in four overs.

In response, Mahe Megalo Strikers reached 116/5 in 18.1 overs before rains interrupted match proceedings. Captain Fabid Ahmed punched out an unbeaten 42 to rescue his team’s faltering beginnings.

Kamaleeshwaran Ambikapathy also belted 25* to counter Sabhay Chadha’s three-wicket burst with the new-ball. The Mahe Megalo Strikers were eventually declared victors by a 12-run margin (DLS method).

The second match of the double-header, scheduled between Karaikal Kniights and Ossudu Accord Warriors, was entirely called off without a ball being bowled owing to deteriorating weather conditions.

Despite failing to make an impact with the bat against Villianur Mohit Kings, Mahe Megalo Strikers opener Ajay Rohera continues to lead the run-scoring charts with 89 runs.

Bhanu Anand belted a 43-ball half-century for Villianur Mohit Kings to extend his seasonal tally to 88 runs. Ganga Sridhar Raju (66 runs), Akash Anand Kargave (65 runs), and Sidak Gurvinder Singh (60 runs) have emerged as the third, fourth, and fifth-highest run-makers of the season, respectively.

Mohit Kale (58 runs), Fabid Ahmed (54 runs), J Karthikeyan (50 runs), Ritesh Gudge (47 runs), and Ragavan Ramamoorthy (44 runs) occupy the final five positions to round up the top 10 batting list.
