Pondicherry Premier League 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after White Town Giants vs Villianur Mohit Kings (Updated) ft. Aman Khan & Sidak Singh

The Pondicherry Premier League 2024 season witnessed a double-header at the Cricket Association Pondicherry Siechem Ground on Friday, August 16.

In the first match of the day, Ossudu Accord Warriors blasted 251/7 from 20 overs. It came on the back of sparkling half-centuries from Jashwanth Shreeram (41-ball 56) and Jayasundaram Karthikeyan (43-ball 89). Krishna Pandey at number four also clubbed five sixes to smack 12-ball 36 in the backend of the innings.

Mahe Megalo Strikers fought hard in the run-chase, but their pursuit was eventually halted at 232/7 to fall 19 runs from their target. Captain Fabid Ahmed made 47 from 26 balls while number four batter Ramamoorthy Ragavan top-scored in the innings with 69 from 30 balls. For Ossudu Accord Warriors, Sidak Singh (3/42) and Krishna Pandey (2/45) picked up wickets at regular intervals to seal a 19-run win for their team.

In an 18-over match between White Town Giants and Villianur Mohit Kings, the latter listed 215/6. Akash Pougajendy (32-ball 60) and captain Aman Khan (40-ball 84) top-scored for the Mohit Kings after countering the opening threat of Adil Tunda (2/29).

In response, White Town Giants managed just 161/8 despite featuring a 28-ball 51 from wicketkeeper Sunil Bishnoi. For the Villianur Mohit Kings, as many as six bowlers claimed a wicket each, with Aman Khan turning out to be the pick of them with figures of 1/22.

Ajay Rohera (385 runs) and Aman Khan (302 runs) are the only two batters to have tallied over 300 runs this Pondicherry Premier League 2024 season. They are followed by Karthikeyan Jayasundaram (268 runs), Ameer Zeeshan (254 runs) and Ragavan Ramamoorthy (240 runs). The complete the season’s top five most successful batters so far.

Jashwanth Shreeram R, Bhanu Anand, and Jay Pandey have also amassed over 200 runs to take the subsequent three slots on the top 10 batting list. K Sai Satwik with 189 runs and Mohit Kale with 175 runs take the final two positions to cap the elite batting table.

Sidak Singh extended his tally to 16 wickets to continue to remain the highest wicket-taker of the Pondicherry Premier League 2024 season. Adil Tunda is ranked second in the list for snapping 13 wickets from his end. Sabhay Chadha has taken 12 wickets to take the third slot. Meanwhile, Gaurav Yadav and Bharat Bhushan Sharma take the next two positions with 11 wickets each.

Sagar Udeshi and Fabid Ahmed with 10 wickets occupy sixth and seventh rank respectively. M Pooviarasan with nine wickets and Sreeraj J R and Jullian Jacab with eight wickets round up the bowling charts.
