As part of an entertaining Pondicherry T20 2024 double-header on Sunday (July 7), Tuskers XI overcame Sharks XI by six wickets while Tigers XI defeated Panthers XI by three runs in a high-scoring thriller. Batting first in match number five of the tournament, the Sharks XI conjured 169-6 from 20 overs, courtesy of valuable 30s from Desh Deepak Chauhan and N Thennavan, and an explosive 16-ball 48* from Mohit Mittan.
Among the Tuskers bowlers, Rahul Rajeev and Prateesh Saraswat claimed two wickets each in the innings while Mohamed Safeequddin and Shishir HR chipped in with a wicket each.
Later in the Tuskers XI run-chase, opener Ritesh Gudge top-scored with a sublime 51-ball 89 before unbeaten J Karthikeyan (38* from 27 balls) steered his team to an easy six-wicket win with more than three overs to spare.
In match number six later in the day, the Tigers XI amassed 190-6 on the back of calculated 30s from openers Siddharth Naidu and Rajashekar Reddy as well as from number four Sivamurugan M (38 from 18 balls). Batting at number three, captain Paras Ratnaparkhe top-scored with 55 runs from 34 balls to set up foundation of a huge total upfront. For the Panthers, bowlers Tejveer Singh and Krishna Datt Pandey claimed four wickets between them.

Panthers XI, in response, came close, charting 187/9 to fall short by just three runs in a nail-biter. Opener Ayudh Sharma clubbed 74 runs from 49 deliveries while unbeaten Karan Kannan blasted 32* from 14 balls. However, their explosive retort was tendered fruitless by Tigers bowlers Nithiyananda R (3/46) and Paras Ratnaparkhe (2/35).
Pondicherry T20 League 2024 Most Runs List
Panthers’ XI opener Ayudh Sharma, jumped to the top of the Pondicherry T20 2024 run-scoring charts, as he extended his run-tally to 137 from just two innings. As of now, Ayudh is 21 runs ahead of second-placed Tuskers’ Ritesh Gudge (116 runs) and 29 ahead of Anand Bais (108 runs).
Sharks wicketkeeper Ajay Rohera, despite his failure against Tuskers, finds himself among the top-four batters of the season with 84 runs. Mohit Mittan, meanwhile, jumped into the top five through his explosive 16-ball 48*.
Tigers XI captain Paras Ratnaparkhe jumped to number seven of the list with 65 runs, finding himself behind Mohit Kale’s 73-run haul so far. Rajesh Thakur (61 runs), Sivamurugan M (54 runs) and Vishnu (49 runs) round out the top 10 run-scorers of Pondicherry T20 2024 as of July 7.

Rajakavi Rajagopal with five wickets, Ravi Yadav with four and J Manikandan with three continue to occupy the top three slots on the wicket-takers' charts of the Pondicherry T20 2024 season so far.
Rahul Rajeev, for his two-fer against Sharks, and Mohit Mittan for his wicket against Tuskers jumped to number four and five on the list, respectively. Panthers bowlers Gurvinder Singh and Karan Kannan slipped to number six and number seven while Bharat Sharma, Karthik B Nair and Rishi Raut round up the top-10 list with three wickets each to their names.
