"Sahi kiya naa bhaiya?" Fans troll Aakash Chopra for post on South Africa bowling first on Day 1 of SA vs AUS 2025 WTC final

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has been trolled by fans for his post on South Africa bowling first on the ongoing opening day of the 2025 World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. The game is being played at the iconic Lord's cricket ground.

South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Aakash Chopra, with a post on X (formerly Twitter) expressed that winning the toss and bowling first was a mistake by the Proteas.

"Lagta hai South Africa ne galti kar dee hai (Feels like South Africa have made a mistake) …winning the toss and bowl first isn’t the ideal thing to do, me feels. #WTCFinal," he wrote.

However, the decision by the Proteas proved to be absolutely spot on as they picked up early wickets and have reduced Australia to 67/4 from 23.2 overs at Lunch on the ongoing opening day.

Following the same, fans trolled Aakash Chopra for his post.

"Sahi kiya naa bhaiya? (They did right, didn't they?)," a user questioned.

"Till now wo Galti sahi saabit ho rhi h😉😂 (Till now that mistake is proving right)," another user wrote.

"Ab kya bolenge (What will you tell now)," a fan tweeted.

"Lord Bavuma par aapne shakh karke thik nahi kiya (You did not do right by doubting Lord Bavuma)," another user hilariously wrote.

South Africa in control after first session on Day 1 of 2025 WTC final

South Africa are in complete control of the proceedings after the end of the first session on the opening day of the 2025 WTC final. Kagiso Rabada provided the first breakthrough as he dismissed Australian opener Usman Khawaja for a duck. He struck in the same over once again to send Cameron Green back to the hut, leaving Australia in early trouble at 16/2.

Marco Jansen then joined the party, getting rid of the dangerous batters Marnus Labuschagne (17) and Travis Head (11) to further push Australia on the backfoot, reducing them to 67/4.
