Birmingham Phoenix, on Wednesday (July 31), defeated Trent Rockets by six runs in Match No.9 of the Hundred Men at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. After being asked to bat first, the Phoenix scored 138 for the loss of six wickets. Jacob Bethell was their star batter after he racked up 46 runs off 29 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.
Liam Livingstone also made a vital contribution of 30 off 20. Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for the Rockets with figures of 20-7-23-2. Imad Wasim, Sam Cook, Lewis Gregory, and Joe Root accounted for a scalp apiece.
The Rockets tried their hearts out and could only score 132 for eight. Dan Mousley was the pick of the bowlers for the Phoenix after he picked up three wickets.

Tom Banton is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament. The right-handed batter has notched 118 runs from three games at an average of 39.33 and a strike-rate of 168.57 with a top score of 66 to his name.
Jacob Bethell is second in the list, having notched 111 runs at an average of 55.50 and a strike-rate of 146.05. Liam Dawson, Sam Hain, James Vince, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell and Alex Hales have also been among the runs.

Adam Zampa of the Oval Invincibles is currently the top wicket-taker of the championship. The leg-spinner has taken six wickets from two matches at an economy rate of 5.25 with a three-wicket haul to his name.
