TNPL 2024 Most Runs and Most Wickets after Lyca Kovai Kings vs Dindigul Dragons (Updated) ft. Ravichandran Ashwin and P Vignesh

Lyca Kovai Kings faced Dindigul Dragons in the final of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 on Sunday, August 4, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Dragons won the toss and elected to bowl.

Only three batters managed to make more than 20 runs for the Kovai Kings. Ram Arvindh was the highest scorer and made 27 runs off 26 deliveries. The team finished with 129 runs for the loss of seven wickets on the board. Sandeep Warrier, Varun Chakravarthy, and P Vignesh picked two wickets each for the Dragons.

The Dragons lost their first two wickets for just 23 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Baba Indrajith added 65 runs for the third wicket. Ashwin made 52 runs off 46 deliveries, while Indrajith scored 32 runs off 35 deliveries. They helped the Dragons reach the target of 130 runs in 18.2 overs with six wickets in hand. Ashwin won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance. Shahrukh Khan won the Player of the Tournament award for his all-round performance.

Arun Karthik slipped to fourth place from third and scored 260 runs in seven outings at an average of 43.33.

Ravichandran Ashwin jumped to fifth position and amassed 252 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 151.80.
