Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf reacted similarly to Hardik Pandya after dismissing Matthew Short in the third and final ODI against Australia in Perth on Sunday, November 10. Rauf put his hands up in surprise following the wicket, apparently expecting the batter to play a better shot.
The incident took place in the 14th over of Australia’s innings. Rauf bowled a short length delivery outside off and Short went for a pull shot but straight into the hands of Irfan Khan at deep square leg. The latter completed a regulation catch as Short walked back for 22 runs off 30 balls, comprising one boundary.
