India have an outstanding T20 team full of superstars, and have tasted success all across the globe. It's no surprise that Indian cricketers are in demand in every T20 league in the world.

However, the BCCI has been reluctant to send its cricketers to foreign T20 leagues because of a number of factors. That is why, Indians remain notable absentees in T20 leagues apart from the IPL.

Australian fans have been itching to see Indians play the world-famous Big Bash League ever since its inception in 2011. If Indians are to play the BBL, the league would certainly acquire an even higher profile.

Here, we take a look at one Indian cricketer who would have been a good fit for each BBL team in the 2018-19 season.

Sydney Thunder - Jasprit Bumrah

The Sydney Thunder have one of the most susceptible bowling attacks in the Big Bash League. The Thunder lack experience in their fast bowling department, with none of their seamers having played much international cricket.

Their bowling roster reads Daniel Sams, Gurinder Sandhu, Sam Rainbird and Nathan McAndrew.

In such circumstances, Jasprit Bumrah could have provided a huge boost to their bowling attack with his accuracy and death-bowling skills. Among all the eight franchises, Sydney Thunder would have been the team where Bumrah would be needed the most.

Sydney Sixers - Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal is a crafty spinner who can make the batsmen dance to the tunes of his leg-spin bowling. He is an asset that any T20 team would love to have in their ranks; with Chahal in the side, the captain can be guaranteed of a potent force in the middle overs.

The Sydney Sixers team lack prowess in their spin department. Nathan Lyon and Steve O'Keefe are good spinners but by no means do they pose a big threat in the shortest format.

Chahal could make this bowling attack complete by bringing in his subtle variations and guile.

Brisbane Heat - Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami, after sharpening his death bowling skills, has drastically improved in the limited-overs formats. He can hurry the batsmen with his extra pace while keeping a very tight line and length.

The Brisbane Heat did not have this kind of bowler in their 2018-19 BBL campaign. Their bowling let them down on many occasions, which is why they were languishing in the bottom half of the table throughout the season.

Moreover, the extra bounce at The Gabba would have given a robust, tearaway quick like Shami a dream deck to bowl on.

Hobart Hurricanes - Kuldeep Yadav

The men in purple were an unstoppable force throughout the league stages of the BBL 2018-19. This team did not particularly have any weakness, but lacked a world-class spinner. Kuldeep Yadav would have been a handy pick for the men from Hobart.

Kuldeep is a traditional leg-spinner who relies on flight and turn off the surface. He has an impeccable googly up his sleeve which he unleashes from time to time.

All in all, purple would have looked best on Kuldeep in the BBL.

Melbourne Renegades - Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan has taken his T20 game to another level in the last 12 months, with some spectacular performances throughout 2018. The southpaw is now a very reliable opener who can be banked upon to provide brisk starts.

The Melbourne Renegades faced problems at the top, with no opener providing significant support to Aaron Finch. Hence, Dhawan would have been their best pick and an ideal batsman to play second fiddle to the prolific Finch.

Melbourne Stars - Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is a legend in T20 cricket already. The first batsman ever to score four T20I centuries, Sharma is a devastating force at the top in this format.

The Melbourne Stars were found wanting when it came to their opening combination. After running out of choices, they had to push an all-rounder like Marcus Stoinis at the top, which showed how badly they were missing a quality opener.

In such a case, there would have been no one better than Rohit for this role. Rohit has great memories playing at the MCG too, where he has scored two ODI hundreds in 2015.

Perth Scorchers - MS Dhoni

The Perth Scorchers, who have been the team to beat throughout the history of the BBL, were very lackluster this time around and never went above the bottom half of the table. One thing that hurt Scorchers was the chopping and changing of the leadership.

The captaincy mantle kept switching between Mitchell Marsh and Ashton Turner, and neither of them yielded desirable results for the Scorchers. Considering this, there wouldn't have been a better choice than the legend MS Dhoni himself.

Dhoni's presence would have completed this team's jigsaw puzzle as he is one of the best captains the game has ever seen.

Adelaide Strikers - Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has been India's most reliable T20 batsman for quite a long time. His consistency in this format is phenomenal, and has left everyone in awe.

Moreover, Adelaide has always been a happy hunting ground for King Kohli.

The Adelaide Strikers are a formidable unit overall but have had their fair share of middle-order issues. The Strikers would have definitely loved to have Kohli in their ranks as his inclusion would solidify their wobbly middle-order.

That said, it doesn't matter for which team he turns out; the Australian cricket fans would just hope that Kohli plays the BBL some day.
