2002 ICC Champions Trophy: Yuvraj hardly got a chance to bat in the tournament, thanks to the form of the Indian top-order. He managed to score 65 runs in the two innings he batted, including a fifty. He made it up with his fielding as he was brilliant throughout the tournament. His catches to dismiss Graeme Smith and Jonty Rhodes in the semi-final against South Africa are two of the best catches taken by an Indian. Those dismissals gave the Indian team a small opening when the Proteas were cruising to an easy win.

2007 World T20: Yuvraj played just two good innings but those ensured India managed to reach the final. His 16-ball 58 against England which included six sixes in an over bowled by Stuart Broad kept India's hopes alive and in the semi-finals against the world champions Australia, he scored 70 off 30 balls. He may have scored just 148 runs in five innings but the runs he scored were crucial.

2011 World Cup: The 2011 World Cup belonged to Yuvraj Singh as the all-rounder starred with both bat and ball and was the main reason why India won the tournament. With the bat, he scored 362 runs in eight innings with the help of four fifties and one century at an average of 90.5 and strike-rate of 87. With the ball, the slow left-armer took 15 wickets at an average of 25 at an economy of 5. This won him the Player of the Tournament award.
