Ravichandran Ashwin ranked career-high 6th in T20I ranking for bowlers

Ravichandran Ashwin is sixth on the latest bowling rankings released by ICC

In the latest T20 rankings, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is the only Indian player to be in the top 10 list. Ashwin has made a huge leap, and has jumped 16 places to move to his career-high sixth position with 686 points.

Apart from Ashwin, the closest Indian bowler in the rankings are Ravindra Jadeja (25), Harbhajan Singh (43) and Yuvraj Singh (44). In form leg-spinner Amit Mishra has broken into the top 100 for the first time in his career and is currently ranked at career-best 74.

West Indies bowling pair of Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine stand on top of the rankings with 855 and 810 points respectively. Both the spinners have been in good form in the ongoing World T20.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc and Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Kulasekara are the only fast bowlers in the list which is dominated by spinners.
