Rio Olympics 2016 : Virat Kohli states he would not miss Usain Bolt's event

The Indian Cricket team, now at West Indies tour has been keeping a laptop or tab to keep an eye on all the spectacular events at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

After the match saving century of Roston Chase, Indian would be a little upset that they could not close out the game. West Indian batting legend sir Vivian Richard said that after a long time he had seen such a great innings by a West Indian batsman.

Talking about his own favourite category in the Olympics Kohli was quoted by the Times of India,”I like swimming and diving. Then, track and field is everyone's most favourite event."

Virat also informed that he is looking forward to Usain Bolt’s performance. The Indian captain also said his entire team was glued onto world’s fastest man’s events.

So far India is ahead of 1-0 lead in the 4 match test series. Team India won the first match by an innings and 92 runs with the help of the Indian skipper’s century and a brilliant bowling performance by Ravichandran Ashwin. The former CSK man took 7 wickets by giving away only 83 runs. The second test ended in a draw, as Roston Chase from the West Indies side, hit his maiden test century to lead the fight back.

Chase made an unbeaten 137 off 269 balls while the skipper Jason Holder (64 not out) supported him from the other end to see off the last session of the match.

The Indian team would be travelling after the end of the third Test and Kohli stated that the team had made plans to ensure no one missed the Jamaican’s event.

"We're thinking that since we're travelling on 14th (August), we'll miss Bolt's event as he is running that day. But some of my teammates have already have the timings sorted out on what time we would reach the hotel and what time is Bolt's event. They have told us we won't miss it."

Virat also added that though they are not Olympians, as international sportspersons they have a lot of interest in these events. “There is nothing bigger than Olympics so it's a different kind of excitement that it creates." said the Indian batsman.
