Rohit Sharma seems to relish captaincy; the apex duties always bring out the best in him. This was the second instance that Hitman had scored a hundred as captain.

He scored the first one against Sri Lanka in December 2017, when he made a record-equaling fastest 100 off 35 in the format.

Assuming the reins of the team in the absence of full time skipper Virat Kohli once again, he made yet another century to become the first captain with two T20I tons.

Rohit Sharma has become a force to reckon with in the international circuit for his hard hitting abilities. Having crossed the landmark of 200 sixes in the recently concluded ODI series, he has now become the batsman with the second highest number of sixes in the shortest format of the game.

During his blistering 111* run knock, Rohit cleared the ground on seven occasions, bettering Brendon McCullum's tally of 91 sixes in the process.

The stand-in skipper is now second on the list of sixes, with 96 maximums against his name. He trails Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill, who top the list with 103 sixes apiece.
