Shikhar Dhawan issues apology for his poor World T20 form

India opener Shikhar Dhawan, who was part of the Indian batting order that failed to provide support to Virat Kohli’s one-man show for India in the World T20, has tweeted out an apology for his own poor form.

He said that the fault is in himself, as his performances in the tournament did not match up to what he had expected of himself. He vowed to work on his weaknesses and turn them into his strengths.

Dhawan managed to make 43 runs in the four Super 10 matches in which he played, at an average just over 10. He was dropped for the semi-final against Australia. Ajinkya Rahane, who was taken in his place, managed to score 40 runs but has been criticised for his scoring rate.
