Pakistan middle-order batsman, Sohaib Maqsood, has been ruled out of the upcoming Bangladesh tour due to an arm-injury. He has been replaced by leg-spinning all-rounder Saad Nasin who is already with the team as a part of the T20 squad.

The injury to Maqsood was detected during a gym and fitness session in the Pakistan’s training camp in Lahore. Subsequent investigation revealed that he has a tiny broken piece of bone in the wrist.

The 27-year-old Maqsood was picked up for the Bangladesh tour despite not making many runs in the recently concluded World Cup (153 runs in six innings), where he was criticised for his lack of fitness.

Saad Nasim was named as his replacement in the ODI squad by Pakistan chief selector, Haroon Rashid, after consulation with his fellow selectors and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan. The 24-year-old Nasim has played three Twenty20 internationals for Pakistan but is yet to play in the 50-over format.

The series begins on 17th of April which consists of three One Day Internationals, one Twenty20 International and two Test matches.

Pakistan ace spinner, Saeed Ajmal is set to stage a comeback in this series after serving a ban from International cricket for nearly 8 months.
